Everyone seems to offer a “wide range of services” to their clients, but not WikiPresto. We offer just one service: a customized MediaWIki site. If you have ever edited a page on Wikipedia, then you already know how to create and maintain pages on your own WikiPresto site. With our template customizer and a basic understanding of CSS, you can easily change the design of your site.

WikiPresto Website fees
Your site will be hosted at WikiPresto in a managed MediaWiki wikifarm. The Basic Plan is the minimum investment required to maintain a site.
Basic Plan
If you are a do-it-yourself type of person and simply want to get to work , then this plan is for you. Link one existing domain name to your site, and pay the maintenance fee.

WikiPresto customizer is a special page you use to modify the basic template. Add your logo, define background colors and textures, font sizes, etc. This is frugal, functional, and a good place to start. After your site is well-authored, you can pay me or another designer to make it as snazzy or elegant as you like—but please get the authoring done first! The design should compliment your message, but the design should not dictate your message.
Did I say “another designer”? Yes! MediaWiki is very popular, and many designers can work with it.
File storage: the allotment of 200 Mb should be plenty of space for photos, especially if you crop them and mind your compression level. A large wiki like Award Annals has over 8,000 book covers using about 600 Mb. If you are planning to upload more than 2,000 book covers, plan on spending an extra dollar per month for the space.
Web Brochure Plan
A small website that explains who you are and what you do is called a web brochure. They are very effective in attracting local customers who search online rather than in the paper yellow pages. They are also a good starting point for someone who is unsure what needs to be said and how to say it.

Virtual domain: A virtual domain only directs an existing domain name to the correct place (where your files are located). If you need help acquiring a domain name, we can it for you at the prevailing yearly price (currently $10/year). There is a quarterly fee for each domain you have pointing to your WikiPresto site.
Email addresses: After you point your domain at your WikiPresto site, you may want to receive email at that domain. You can have as many email addresses as you wish, but there is a $5 setup fee for each email address after the first five.
Authoring: When we say that we will author your content, it does not mean that we will define your company. You must provide something to start with. Do you have a brochure? How about a business card? At the very least, the author will interview you at length and take notes. If there is not much information, the author main produce only one or two pages.
Basic search engine submission is not the same as search engine optimization (SEO). What we do is submit your site to the major search engines so that they will include it in their indexes. It is not as difficult as it sounds—just rather tedious.
SEO experts charge much money to re-write your site to include strategic keywords that will get your site listed on the first page of a possible-client’s query. You can hire one, give them a login to your site, grant them edit privileges, and they can edit it as they wish.

CPanel shared hosting fees
WikiPresto is a great way to create a website, but you may need to expand your capabilities beyond that which the MediaWiki software can provide. A CPanel account allows you to develop install a variety of programs and databases to create a custom site. You will be empowered (and solely responsible) to create databases, install software, manage email addresses, and much more.
If you have an existing WikiPresto site, it will be converted to a MediaWiki installation. Features such as the template customizer will be unavailable, but you will have direct access to the MW skin.
